WTF is it, and why is it such a resource hog?? I saw online that its associated with Origin (no surprise), and that maybe reinstalling Origin can reduce it.

Thoughts please?

It's a part of Origin, it's a very old program that other programs use for their web interface. It is a piece of shit software and has been since it came out. It's good for basic stuff, but once you start doing more advance stuff like what EA tries to do then it goes to shit.
You kind of have no choice but to have it running, but you can minimize its impact by minimizing Origin once you launch a game. Origin use to allow you to do this automatically in it's settings but has since removed that option a while ago.

You can clean Origin cache as well, some have said this helps. But if Origin is running in the foreground when a game is running and not minimized it can use a lot of resources.

Thanks, I did that, if anybody else does know that you will need to go back in and change the Origin notification settings, privacy settings, etc.
