Come on DICE, 5 map packs and not a single new map, WTF.
I'll pay for it even, I don't care, just give me one NEW map. I realize you're busy with MOH, and Vietnam, all that, but seriously... WTH?
I love DICE and BF, but this has got to stop. You're (DICE) gonna piss off your community to the breaking point eventually. I appreciate that they
release something, but it's really nothing new. Frustrating. I want to luv them, but they keep treating us like idiots. WE ARE WILLING TO PAY DICE!!

I feel your pain. Similar actions were taken with previous BF series. This is why there were groups out there that made their own gamepacks ie:

I believe what they are really doing is soaking the console gamers, who have to PAY for the map packs. I'm afraid the first new BC2 maps will be the
Vietnam expansion. They seem to be following the BF2 path here.

as posted by one of dice's people(can't quite remember who or the link) on twitter, we are only getting new modes for the current maps. Vietnam
Expansion ARE THE NEW MAPS we'll be getting.Seriously if no new maps are in these packs, don't call them "map packs" they ARE "mode packs" nothing
more.

Yeah, I expected Vietnam to be first new maps, but they should capitalize on the fact that many of us would be willing to pay for new maps before,
and/or after Vietnam. I honestly understand the need to profit for their work after game release, so I don't mind paying. I just want something new. I
still love BC2 but I'm getting burnt out on the repetition of the current maps. Everyone already knows them intimately. I'd even be happy if they just
made a variation on a current map, using all the items currently in their inventory. I know Vietnam was planned solely in response to Black Ops, so
they stay relevant on the market. I get it, I do.
Also what ever happened to 1943? I paid for it, IDK a year ago... I know it's nothing super special, but I want some new dog-fighting. I even
occasionally jump on 1942 just to play 'Battle of Britain, and Midway'.
I know DICE is a relatively small developer (staff wise), so I'm sympathetic. That doesn't negate my desire though.
Why won't they at least release SDK for mods? Just because it's a console-centric game?

IMO these should be called PATCHES! A map pack imo is additional maps you can play in the game already and do not necessarily patch or change the
game beyond adding new maps. Stupid DICE.

To be fair this game is still incredibly new. Just wish they made larger maps like BF1942 and BF2. I don't like having to rely on hiding in a shrub
out in the open. Thats why I've always played BF opposed to games like CS or modern warfare, the freedom and space.

Yeah I agree, but it's really only supplemental to us waiting for the next real battlefield (BF3), so I can't get too upset.
I also agree wholeheartedly with Daurwid's assessment. It would bother me much less if it weren't actually called a 'Map Pack'.
It just seems like a sorry sales pitch when they lay that title on it five times in a row without a single new map.
I'm not really angry about it, or anything.
Well gotta go back to work now. Will be on tomorrow though. hurray!
