Canadian CF18 Hornet crash in Alberta
In case your hadn't heard, a CF-18 was practicing for an air show and augered in right in front of the crowd. Great vids are on youtube right now,
just search for CF18 and Alberta. I'll try and post some pics

I guess witnesses saw sparks flying out of 1 engine before the pilot lost control. Losing an engine flying that slow had to suck.

Apparently, in the last 2 years the Canadian Air Force has replaced an older style ejection seat with one that self levels, note the two jets off the
seat. The old style would have punched him into the tarmac. Note the engines in the pics, one is open and one closed, and on impact see the flame
coming out of the open engine? I was posted in Germany in the early 90's when we lost 2 18's. They arrived at base on flatdeck trucks, and one had an
Audi embedded in the bottom. They never could separate them! Glad this caught some interest.
